UwTornooi is free thanks to sponsors. You can add your own sponsors so they are visible on the live page, in the app and on the presentation screen.
Everything sits on one page: in the sidebar of your tournament, under Organisatie (organisation), click Manage sponsors. The two sponsor options are at the top of that page; below them you manage your own sponsors.
At the top of Manage sponsors there are two switches:
For each of these options we ask a small contribution of € 5, once per tournament. When you flip a switch, you land on the Sponsor options page: tick one or both options and pay everything at once via Mollie.
After payment the chosen options are activated immediately and you receive a payment confirmation by email. Once paid, you can freely toggle the switches for the rest of the tournament.
As soon as a sponsor option is paid, the end date of your tournament is fixed: you can no longer push it further out or clear it. Otherwise one one-off contribution would turn into a tournament without an end. Does your tournament have to be moved after all — bad weather, a cancellation? Adding and preparing your sponsors is free. You do not have to pay anything to upload logos, mark a main sponsor or set the display, and everything you fill in stays saved. Only showing them publicly depends on the option above. Here is how to add one:
In the list you can edit or delete each sponsor afterwards. If you leave the logo field empty while editing, the existing logo is kept.
With the own sponsors option you can download a PDF report per sponsor to show what their logo delivered: the number of views and clicks, the click rate, the trend over time, where the logo was seen (tournament page, screen in the canteen, …) and how it compares to your other sponsors. Click Report next to the sponsor in the list. The report is in the language of your tournament, so you can hand or email it to your sponsor as it is. Without the option, the button shows a padlock.
You do not have to pay blind. On the Manage sponsors page there is a Try it for free first block, with two ways to see what it will look like.
A 10-minute preview. With Preview live page and Preview presentation screen you open your own page with your sponsors on it. Such a preview stays valid for 10 minutes and carries a clear preview bar at the top; after that the page falls back by itself to what visitors see. Anyone opening your normal link meanwhile notices nothing: the logos only appear on your preview link. So it is meant for looking, not for leaving the screen in the clubhouse on a preview all day.
A 24-hour trial run. Want to see it running for real? Start a free 24-hour trial run, once per tournament. Everything then goes genuinely public — your own sponsors added, ours hidden, your own slides on the screen — exactly as it would be during your tournament, without a bar.
A trial run is only possible outside the days of your tournament, and not the day before or after either: during the tournament itself the option is meant to be paid, because that is when people look at your live page. If you move your tournament dates to today while a trial run is going, it stops immediately.
You also need: the dates of your tournament filled in (under settings) and at least one sponsor added, otherwise there would be nothing to see. Afterwards your logos disappear from the public pages again, but everything you filled in stays saved.
At the bottom of the form is the ★ Main sponsor checkbox. Tick it and that sponsor gets the best spot everywhere:
If you tick nothing, it is a regular sponsor. You can switch it any time via Edit. Without any main sponsor everything stays one Sponsors row, just like before.
The Order field sets the priority: the lowest number comes first. Give several sponsors the same number and they are equally important, so they swap places among themselves on every refresh — the same sponsor is not always in front.
How many logos show per row at once is up to you, under Display on screen — configurable separately for main sponsors and for regular sponsors, eight by default: the smaller that number, the bigger each logo, since UwTornooi resizes them automatically. If you have more than that number, the next ones get their turn on each refresh, so after a while everyone has been on screen. The live page refreshes every 45 seconds, the presentation screen every 15 seconds.
The uwtornooi.be sponsors do not count towards that number: they are always shown, unless you hide them with the sponsor option above.
Your own sponsors appear on the live page of your tournament, in the app and on the presentation screen (TV mode), as long as the own sponsors switch is on. The uwtornooi.be sponsors appear there too, unless you hide them with the second option.
The own sponsors option also includes a short web address of your own, such as pingpongtournament.uwtornooi.be. Handy on posters, flyers and in emails: anyone who types it lands straight on your tournament's live page. The presentation screen lives at the same address followed by /tv.
You choose the address in your tournament, under Sponsors, in the Custom web address block. Type a name (3 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens). You see right away whether the name is still free. After you activate it, it can take up to fifteen minutes before the address works. You don't need to keep the page open: you get an email as soon as it is ready. You can choose a different address or remove it in the same place. You always manage your tournament via uwtornooi.be, not via your own address.
