If your club opens registrations, you get a link of the form club_inschrijven.php?c=yourclub. You do not need an account for it. For each player you enter the name, an e-mail address and optionally a phone number. For a pair, that is twice. Give both players their own e-mail address: that way each of the two can log in and follow the matches. If you fill in only one address, only that player gets access. Using the same address twice is not possible. If the division uses Elo standings you can also give your current points; those become your starting position. Leave it empty and the club decides where you start. Some clubs make this field required; you can then only register after filling in your points.
Each phone number is optional and is set per player. There is a separate question on whether your opponents may see it: without that permission it stays visible to the club only.
After sending you get a confirmation e-mail. The club approves or declines your registration and you hear about it by e-mail. Some clubs turn on automatic approval — then you are in the division right away. If your club prefers to add you themselves, there is nothing for you to do.
An account on UwTornooi with the same e-mail address you gave your club. Your account is then automatically linked to your pair, or to you as an individual participant. Log in and you will find the club competition in your portal; if you also play on a ladder, two tabs appear at the top.
The club opens time slots: day, time and the courts free at that moment. There are two ways to get a match:
You then see the court, day and time under My matches. Nothing left to arrange.
The club sets rules per division. You get a message if:
After the match, enter the set scores under My matches, for example 6-4 3-6 7-5. Both players may do this; whoever gets to it first enters them. If confirmation is on, your opponent gets a Confirm button. The result counts towards the standings immediately — confirmation is only an after-the-fact check.
Call off your match under My matches. Do it well in advance and it simply disappears, freeing the court. Cancel within your club's cancellation window and it becomes a walkover — you lose the match. That window is part of your division's rules.
Your position is shown at the top of your portal. Depending on your club, standings run by points or by rating: with rating you go up or down after each match depending on how strong your opponent was. The full standings are also on the club's public page.
You can do all of this in the UwTornooi app as well: on the start screen pick I play in a club competition and sign in with the same e-mail address your club has. You get your place in the standings, the open time slots, who is looking for an opponent and your own matches. Entering and confirming results works the same way.
The app notifies you when someone takes your time slot, when your opponent entered a result that still needs your confirmation, and one day before a scheduled match. If your opponent shares their phone number, you can call them straight from the app.
If another series at your club is open, you can sign up for it in the app too.
Not to register: that goes through your club's link and only asks for your name and email address. To follow your matches afterwards, yes. Create an account with the same email address you gave your club and you are linked to your team automatically.
Your club sets rules per series, and a message tells you which one is blocking: the slot is full, registration has closed (you can sign up until a set number of hours beforehand), you already have too many open, or you have already played that opponent.
Cancel your match under My matches. If you do so well in advance, it simply disappears and the court becomes free for someone else. If you cancel within your club's cancellation window, it becomes a forfeit and you lose the match. That window is listed in your series rules.
Either player may; whoever gets to it first enters the set scores under My matches. If your club has confirmation switched on, your opponent gets a Confirm button. The result counts towards the standings immediately either way — the confirmation is only a check afterwards.
